Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
The short version
iBalance analyzes your handstand videos on your phone. We don't upload your training footage, we don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. We only collect what's needed to keep the app working — your account email (so you can sign in) and basic subscription status (so we know you've paid).
Who we are
iBalance is built by Cassandra Studios. "We", "us", and "our" in this policy mean Cassandra Studios. If you have questions about anything here, write to hello@cassandrastudios.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the iBalance iOS app and this website at ibalance.cassandrastudios.com. It explains what data the app collects, where it goes, and your rights over it.
Camera and photo library
iBalance asks for access to your camera, microphone, and photo library. Camera and microphone access is used to record handstands; photo library access is used so you can pick existing videos to analyze, and so the app can optionally save processed clips back to your library. Video and audio from your camera are processed entirely on your device — they never leave the phone.
Video analysis
Pose detection runs on-device using Apple's frameworks and Google's MediaPipe. The 33-point body landmarks the app generates from your videos are stored in a database that lives on your phone. We do not upload your videos or landmark data to any server.
Account and authentication
iBalance uses Supabase for authentication. When you sign in (with email or Sign in with Apple), Supabase stores your email address and a unique account identifier so we can recognise you on future launches and across re-installs. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings tab; doing so erases your account record from Supabase.
Subscriptions and Apple
Paid plans are processed by Apple via in-app purchase. We use RevenueCat to read your subscription status so the app knows whether you're on the free trial, a paid plan, or expired. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier from Apple and your subscription state — never your name, email, or payment details. Apple's own privacy policy covers the actual payment.
Crash and performance data
If you've opted in to share data with app developers at the iOS level (Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may forward crash reports and aggregate usage data to us. We use this only to find and fix bugs. We do not run our own analytics, telemetry, fingerprinting, or advertising SDK.
This website
This website is a marketing page hosted on Vercel. It serves a small number of static pages — no analytics scripts, no third-party trackers, no cookies that identify you. Vercel may log standard request metadata (IP, user agent, requested page) for security and abuse prevention; those logs are short-lived.
Children
iBalance is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EU, UK, or California you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (your email and account record);
- Have it corrected if it's wrong;
- Have it erased — either by deleting your account in the app, or by emailing us;
- Object to processing or restrict how we process it;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because the app's video data lives on your phone, you also control it directly — uninstalling iBalance or using the "Delete All Data" button in Settings removes every video and analysis from the device.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
